We’re getting the blog back together!

It’s been too long.
Fortunately, this last time, I was smart enough not to promise myself I’d get a regular posting schedule without anything to regularly post! So I only have marginal guilt over not writing more on here. But, again, I am feeling restless, and that restlessness ends up making me work on the blog again a bit. So this time (again), I’m gonna try and really do it. This time (again) I will update consistently!
Also, as you may have noticed, there is now a blip.fm feed on the right side. This is the beginning of an effort to make it so that even if I do not update as regularly as I would like on this blog, there is at least some new content, just from me living my daily life.

Adventures with Linux From Scratch part 1

So, while running into issues with the newest version of ubuntu (stop prompting me for a keyring I never had, and fucking up my filesystem already!), I came up with the idea of trying to make my own custom distro. Doing it from the kernel by myself seemed a bit much, but in the process of looking around, I found Linux From Scratch and decided to give it a shot. I’ll be documenting my process from start to finish, especially any problems I run into, and trying to write a walk-through for the process as well.

Every time a rare record shows up on ebay (and it’s no use trying to go outside ebay, since EVERYbody uses ebay prices nowadays) I get outbid by somebody going way over the top price-wise. Unless rich businessmen are now taking an interest in indie music, I’m being outbid by college hipsters surviving off their parents ample allowance. STOP STEALING WHAT I LOVE, HIPSTERS.
